Central Pierce Fire plans a new Station 92 on Orting-Kapowsin Highway

Central Pierce Fire & Rescue has filed an environmental (SEPA) review for a new, roughly 10,000-square-foot fire station at 29104 Orting Kapowsin Highway East, on a 16.45-acre site that is now vacant and mostly forested.
The new building replaces the old Station 92 at 14817 Kapowsin Hwy E in Graham, which is no longer in operation; it had housed the Graham Fire & Rescue volunteer program, which ended in 2025. Plans include parking, two driveways onto Orting-Kapowsin Highway for fire trucks, landscaping and utilities.
The public comment period closed October 8. Orting Valley Fire & Rescue merged into Central Pierce Fire & Rescue on January 1, 2026.
