- 34 residential construction permits, including 26 new single-family homes (22 issued, 4 under review), with a combined estimated building value of about $12.2 million

- 12 mechanical and 6 plumbing permits, including 7 for standby generators
- Smaller numbers of fire-sprinkler, alarm and commercial permits
Where the homes are: 15 in the Uplands development (along 178th and 179th streets E and 140th Ave. E), 10 in Glacier Pointe at Tehaleh, five of them single-story senior housing, and one in Sunrise Heights.
Notable projects:
- A Tacoma Water pump station at Canyonfalls Creek on Falling Water Blvd. E, valued at $1.9 million, applied for Sept. 14.
- Embark at Uplands Phase 2 (Viewpoint Pl. E): site-development and sewer-extension applications, plus a request to change an approved townhome area into a gated duplex-and-townhome community.
- Road and storm-drain permit issued for Elysian Meadows South Phase 1 at Tehaleh: about 9,470 feet of new road.
